The final two weeks of school are going to be busy with so many activities scheduled before we break up for the Christmas holidays. Please ensure you take time to look at the information below so you are aware of what is happening!

You will have seen the year group make and sing events in the Christmas event calendar over the past few weeks. Parents from each year group are invited to school for 90 minutes. There will be a 30-minute music performance from the children and 60 minutes in the class working on a collective year group project.

The charity art bazaar will take place on Monday. Please stop by on your way out of school for a look at what is on offer. There will also be hot chocolate available.

Thank you for signing up for meetings with your child's teachers on Wednesday. As well as meeting your child's teacher, it is also possible to find out more about our secondary school.

We will have teachers available to talk to primary parents about the areas below.

Mr Whitten and Ms Fauldsova will lead the final session on Social Impact on Thursday 5^th December at 8.30 am in the Music Auditorium.

Social Impact Session Overview

This workshop will focus on how the primary school engages with Social Impact initiatives by integrating the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its curriculum and activities. Student leaders, through the Sustainability Team and Student Council, organise projects and campaigns that promote sustainability, equality, and student rights. This approach empowers students to become informed, responsible global citizens while actively addressing global challenges.

A huge well done to the PBIS community! We raised an amazing 25,000 czk for charity during our bake sale. Thank you so much for baking cakes and sending your children into school with money. The children loved taking time choosing cakes and I really enjoyed watching them communicating with the PBIS Friends who were selling the cakes. A huge thank you to the PBIS Friends for arranging the event.

Santa’s Grotto

Children from Early Years – Year 4 will have the chance to see Santa in our specially made grotto, All the children in these year groups will attend unless the parents opt out. A form to complete will be sent nearer the time. This year we decided with the PBIS Friends that the children in years 5 and 6 will not attend.

Woolly Wednesdays

For the two Wednesdays in December the children will be able to come to school in their favourite Christmas jumpers.

Thank you to everyone who helped donated coats etc... to support the homeless at charity. We have sent all the items and i am sure they will make a huge difference to some this winter. On Monday, we will be launching two more charity appeals and the details of both can be found below. There will be boxes for both appeals in the main reception.

Project 1: Fill a Christmas Sock for the Homeless

• MUST BE TRAVEL SIZE!

Project 2: Christmas Treats for Refugees

We are excited to share with our community that we have another social event planned which is PBIS Burns Night!

This is a wonderful Scottish traditional evening and a great chance to enjoy good food, whiskey and company.
